Air curtain installation for Leeds Library
Adapting to the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic has been something most businesses have had to do during 2020 – and the reason that we were asked to take care of this air curtain installation at Leeds Library.
Leeds Library has been a feature of Leeds city centre for over 50 years. Founded in 1768, it’s home to more than 140,000 books and is the oldest surviving subscription library in the British Isles! Situated in a stunning grade II listed building, it also plays hosts to weddings and other events and provided a lovely backdrop for this electrical project.
Our over door heater installation service
The client contacted us after laying out their new and essential Covid policy, realising that one of their strategies involved leaving the doors open – which unfortunately would also mean letting the heat escape!
With a need to keep their visitors as safe as possible while also needing to cater for their comfort, Leeds Library decided to have an over door heater – or air curtain – installed. This would create a barrier to help keep the heat in and the cold out, while also allowing for fresh air to circulate.
After assessing the space and various product options, we recommended a Dimplex over door heater with a remote control function to make it easier for staff to adjust settings as required. On approval of our quote, we organised a convenient time with the client for installation, adhering to our own strict Covid policy which included social distancing, wearing masks and gloves and the use of hand sanitiser where needed.
Leeds Library was really happy with the finished installation of this highly effective solution to prevent that cold air getting in, and it will help to keep their users comfortable when they visit during colder periods.
